Triluma cream

Triluma is a prescription-strength cream for short-term treatment of moderate-to-severe facial melasma, a type of pigmentation that causes brown or greyish patches. It combines three active ingredients: hydroquinone 4% to reduce excess melanin, tretinoin 0.05% to increase skin-cell turnover and improve penetration, and fluocinolone acetonide 0.01% to help calm inflammation.

It is usually applied as a thin layer at night, strictly as directed by a dermatologist, alongside daily broad-spectrum sunscreen. Possible reactions include dryness, peeling, redness, burning, itching, or increased sensitivity; it is not intended for continuous or unsupervised long-term use.
